National ConferenceThe National Conference provides a world of opportunities for its members. Reunite with old friends and create networks with those you meet for the first time. The Conference is a great way to talk to hundreds of employers who are looking you, a SHPE member.
This year, the National Conference will be in Fort Worth, Texas from November 14-18. The Conference includes workshops for leadership development, academic excellence, technology, financial planning, and much more. The career fair features over 200 companies making it one of the largest in the nation. Furthermore, the Conference also includes socials, banquets, and fun competitions such as the Academic Olympiad and the Extreme Engineering Challenge. Eastern Technical Leadership ConferenceThe Eastern Technical Leadership Conference is a smaller scale version of the National Conference. Regions 4 and 7 combine their efforts to provide opportunities for chapters and their members by engaging them in workshops/seminars, case study competitions and hosting career fairs. The 2012 ETLC was help in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The conference was not only a great opportunity for professional development, but during our free time we were able to enjoy some time on the beach and San Juan’s local restaurants. Each year the conference is held in February, the location is still to be determined however we would love to have you, a SHPE member, attend with us. |
